  • I am not sure I agree with others who feel this was an ethical transaction. If you wanted to make sure you treated the Widow fairly, you could have cleaned it up and had the appraiser write a complete report, then place it in an auction with a reserve at your 65,000. Then you could have required the widow agree to pay the expenses out of the sale precedes and if asked for an a fee for your time if you were not the successful bidder. You are free to tell yourself you did right by her but Shelbys are known to go well over a million to a million and a half. So how do you really know fair market with exposing it to the market?

  • Don't like the title of this, this car is not a barn find. The late gentleman who owned it put it there, therefore never lost, whereabouts of the car always known. Hence NOT A BARN FIND!!

    James PickingJames Picking3 dager siden
    • @Jerry Heasley or it belongs to an gentleman that get to I'll or/and old. With the very human intention of one day getting it back on the road but sadly dies before he gets chance. No that's not a barn find, it's probably being Titled as a barn find by executor's that have no clue what they are talking about to sell off because our greedy disgusting incapable government think they are entitled to a pay out ASAP. No it belongs to the dear old boy that parked it on that barn. NOT A BARN FIND.

      James PickingJames Picking3 dager siden

  • the Road Runner, Falcon and Shelby, even in condition they in, gotta be worth at least (saying this before hearing Shelby value) $100,000 we have 3 full serve gas stations in our community and their 'per gallon' price only a cpl pennies more that self-serve, so for an extra 40 cents, I never have to get out of my truck edit, wholesale $60,000, retail $70,000 (my initial value was also based on the Shelby having correct short block)....my initial statement maybe about $10-15,000 high, depending on shape of the Road Runner and Falcon

    • @Derrick Nonnemacher It's not about me or you jackass, I never said I couldn't go buy all the cars I want. You made big sacrifices to get one shitty Firebird, good on you. If you were born 50 years earlier you could've bought a new one every year and just put the old one in storage because why not.

      Brock FBrock F16 timer siden
    • @Brock F you're adorable. In 2001 my car was 32,000 brand new and I sacrificed to own it. You can too of you want too.

    • @Derrick Nonnemacher Your ego is leaving no room for reason and math. It's not an opinion, it's called inflation.

      Brock FBrock F17 timer siden
    • I'm calling BS. It's more about how bad you want something. When I was 20 I wanted a Firebird Trans AM WS6. Guess what I bought that car and ate top Ramen for 5 years also bought a 1000$ beater I drove everyday so I could keep the miles low. Guess what 20 years later she sits in my garage and is driven on sunny Sunday's. Life is a marathon not a sprint and things are acquired over time. In today's society seems like everyone wants everything all at the same time. No one can afford to run out and buy all things at once we aquire the over a lifetime. Best example: you ever look at someone's tools and say to yourself how in the world did he get all those, Answer a piece at a time when he needed to purchase them for a specific purpose and over the course of time he has a tool for every job. Go get your Car if you really want it.
