  • Hey NOtown. The Global Water crisis is pretty grim, but I have a few ideas for solving it. I'm just a Rural Mail Carrier not a scientist, engineer or environmental expert and have no idea if these would work, but there's no harm in trying them. Guess I better do something. 1. Cloud collection with blimps, drones, planes. Condensers or vacuums could fill water tanks and water could be held at tank farms until needed 2. Natural gas or ocean-extracted fuel desalination boiling? 3. Renewable energy boiling or concentrated solar (mirrors)? 4. Glacier/iceberg collection (put on ships, taken where needed?)? 4. Frequent fog area vacuum/condenser and tanks? 5. Mountain snow/frequent snow area collection (backhoes, put on trains, etc.)? 6. Countries with excess freshwater donating/cheaply selling to those with shortages? 7. Tanks with screens at monsoon areas (similar to big oil terminal ones?)? 8. solar/wind powered condenser (hot regions)? 9. Giant "lifestraw" filters and pipes/pumps at dirty water sources, more output (renewable powered)? 10. Combining liquid hydrogen/oxygen from tanks into bin below? 11. Cloud seeding near collection tanks?

  • Brilliant mini documentary Netflix. I can imagine in the coming decades Mexico's population will need outside help because of the slowly increasing temperature near the equator. It is a real concern to see how much water humanUNkind is wasting on agriculture. Just as with South Africa, a paradigm shift will only take place when there is a real chance of no longer having water flow from a tap as 7/10 of us currently do.

    • I don't see myself too much like you based on what has taken place recently, I can't relate to you on a human level, like "control freak, workaholic, sharp and competitive, doesn't care what others think of him, does whatever it takes to win," in those terms, maybe, yes or just maybe because most of it was because something happened which I didn't anticipate and it came across as in bad faith, so I did the smart thing I could think off. But that isn't a human paradigm distinctively, a lot of the other animal species like lions, tigers, crazy kids sometimes, criminals, and good cop doing something bad to put the bad people away, types also exhibit in their nature. human level is intellectual, absolutely. For an example, "Hi, you look upset, may I help you because I am able to and you seem to think there is no hope in the world but I can help you get back on your feet, you can trust me" you then betrayed the trust, so I am like... oh, shit... I wish I had seen that I wish I could have played the naive kid in a man's body for just a little longer.... whatever happened, specially during the previous couple of months, most of it made me sick to my stomach while the rest was just plain disturbing! like disturbance as in I would like a disclaimer ahead of it, just so I can have a choice to not see it! I don't know if it were you or your wife, one of you thought that it was acceptable to me all along... and that just unbelievable... not doing it until we can share our thoughts properly... do whatever you can, open challenge..
